Beginning of Last Year's Trip to Tbilisi

Overnight in Istambul:
We have finally arrived after too many hours in the airports of the world. Our hotel was a 30 minute search by the taxi driver at midnight. Finally had to ask directions at the Four Seasons, only to find our hotel was four blocks away. We breakfasted on the roof, overlooking the Haigia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Plan to revisit them this am before we join the bus tour to new destinations. Haven't lost anything yet, but have scrambled a couple of times. There's wonderful pottery everywhere. We shall leave some for Mary Lou to carry home!
Love MOm

from Bruce:
Possibly Mouse [a cat] has followed us to 'Stambul. Changes in the last 12 years: big screen tv in the lobby; unlimited channels on cable tv; everything organized for the American traveler, including this easy access internet in the lobby of this very small hotel; energy efficient and up-to-date hallways and bathrooms; faux scenery out the lobby window = and so on babbles Bruce!
MORE LATER.
