All new... We've created a new site: MAD MONEY PORTFOLIOS of Jim's special stock indexes and buckets...see them here >

Jim:
I think the natural gas industry has finally gotten some decent lobbyists… that is why these stocks have been soaring even as the price of the commodity is going lower, and lower, and lower… looks like the Democrats in Congress have stopped painting all fossil fuels with the same broad brush… and learned to love clean and cheap, plentiful especially here in America, natural gas… as a matter of policy this makes a lot of sense… if you want to fight climate change, you have to get your hands a little dirty… because while it will take decades before renewables like wind and solar can really make a difference… using natural gas as interim replacement fuel… well, lets say you did that for oil right, it cuts down carbon emissions by 25% to 30% from oil… and nitrogen oxide omissions by 35% to 60%… and it can be done relatively quickly...
Plus, a compressed natural gas is about .40 cents a gallon cheaper than gasoline… and getting cheaper by the day… because there is so much of it in this country that we cannot even store the stuff… I think we should be aiming to be like Argentina… yes that Argentina… where they have 1.65 million natural gas vehicles… that is 21.7% of all of the vehicles in the country… the shear number of people required to make the switch happen could make a gigantic dent in the unemployment roles… and given that the United States is basically the Saudi Arabia of natural gas… after the Barnett shale, after the Marcellus shale, after all we have discovered in Canada… this one, well next to the Canadian pipeline but it comes right out of Colorado… this would be a giant step towards energy independence. We have so much stuff in this country and we are going to start exporting it… I mean that is crazy, we are exporting this natural gas… I thought the problem was that we were importing a lot of oil… switching to natural gas solves nearly all of our domestic policy problems… and some foreign policy problems too… it is a great idea, that is why I made it part of Cramer’s Capitalist Manifesto… but on this show we care about making money a lot more than making good policy… and from the money making angle there are a lot of great ways to speculate on the potential Washington powered explosion of natural gas as a fuel… two days ago right we heard the compelling story from the CEO of Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (CLNE), a large operator of natural gas fueling stations… and I have got a new one for you today… it is new if you have never watched the show… I have talked it before… and I talked about it too early frankly. It is… Fuel Systems Solutions, Inc. (FSYS)…

Lightning Round Picks:

STEC, Inc. (STEC)Jim: Well, I have got to tell you… STEC is a micron, these are both part of what makes a phone smart… their chips are in everything… the gadget market is on fire… people do not understand the tremendous bull market that is going on in semi conductors… both STEC and Micron Technology Inc. (MU) are part of it… as is by the way Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM), which you know I like… these are all on fire… I will not get in the way of a tsunami.

All Lightning Round picks

Atmos Energy (ATO)Jim: Well, you know what, there are not a lot of utilities that are at their 52 week high but that one is… that is a sign of strength by the way… but since I buy utilities on the basis of yield, I think that Dominion Resources Inc. (D) is better here, letter D… lets go with that one.

All Lightning Round picks

China Green Agriculture, Inc. (CGA)Jim: Oh man, I have got to go to China for an ag company?… I have got my friend, Potash (POT), which I like… this China thing is up huge… lets not speculate on that when we can buy Potash which has been trading $92-$97, $92-$97... I think that is a better bet.
