Electric Aggregation -- What a Waste of Fur

(c) 2009 F. Bruce Abel

So Dominion Retail, Inc. offers a 6.88 cent "price to compare" vs Duke Energy's "price to compare" of 8.66. Dominion's is fixed through December, 2010 billing. But Duke's varies every quarter because the FPP (fuel and purchased power) rider changes every quarter and it is a substantial amount unto itself right now.

So "comparing" isn't possible. "What a waste of fur."

Do you suppose that as the economy is in recession and industry is down, that the FPP will reflect itself accordingly?

In natural gas we do not want a fixed contract when prices are falling. Same with electricity I would think.
