On Brooks Today

As usual David Brooks goes to the heart of the matter. What the Democrats need is "change-plus." What do I mean by that? Change plus the certainty that the new boys know how to do things in this difficult environment. I think Obama should announce exactly who his Secretary of the Treasury would be, who his Chief White House Advisor will be. Who his Secretary of State will be. Who his "Carl Rove" will be. Announce who he will keep. (Petreaus, Paulson). Who among the Republicans he wants: Rob Portman, (can't think of any more at this early hour). As a practical matter this may not be "possible," as his "names" may not accept the positions, conditional as they are, or for political reasons.
