Dominion Resources to build 300-megawatt Illinois wind farm

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Dominion Resources Inc. (D:
Dominion Resources Inc said Wednesday it plans to build a 300-megawatt wind farm about 25 miles southeast of Springfield, Ill. The Prairie Fork Wind Farm will have 150 to 200 turbines, and will boost Dominion's renewable generation capacity to nearly 1.3 gigawatts in operation or under development, the company said. Dominion plans to start construction in 2010 with operation beginning in 2011.
