Tech Tips -- When My Desktop Cannot Get Online

It's connected to my LAN (local area network) through wireless.

For some reason I have a laptop which is supposedly connected the same way and it doesn't need this "correction."

Control Panel-->Administrative Tools-->Services-->Windows Zero Configuation Service-->

Right click and make it say "start"

I seem to have to do this every time I turn on the desk computer. However, due to frequent use, I guess, the "service" icon is now listed as one of my favorites, so I simply click on this and then right click to make it register "start."
