18 Days of 36 HDD Per Day for Cincinnati

Today begins 8 days when the average temperature produces 36 heating degree days for Cincinnati.

Then, on January 27, 11 days of 37 HDD, the top, on average. I call the latter 11 days "the dead of winter." After that, the HDD go down to zero.

So this means my ccf per day at the two houses is about 12 per house, or 24 ccf. Using a cost of about $1.00 per ccf (it's actually about $1.12) my cost per day to heat is $12 per house or $24 total for the two houses per day.
